DevOps Engineer – 6‑month contract

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our client’s team on a 6‑month contract. The role will focus on building and maintaining robust platform engineering solutions across major Australian cities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, BitBucket and pipeline‑as‑code practices.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python, Groovy, Bash or PowerShell.
• Configure and monitor cloud environments on AWS or Azure, including Linux‑based workloads.
• Create and manage Dockerfiles, Kubernetes manifests and Terraform infrastructure as code.
• Integrate monitoring and alerting tools such as New Relic, Grafana or Dynatrace.
• Apply secure development and application security tooling within an enterprise setting.
• Leverage AI/Co‑pilot tools to enhance day‑to‑day coding efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and consulting skills with the ability to discover and solve complex problems.
• Hands‑on experience in cloud engineering (AWS or Azure) and Linux environments.
• Proven ability to work with containerisation and orchestration technologies.
• Experience operating security tooling in large‑scale enterprises.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted coding workflows.
