Customer Service Representative – Office Based

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Customer Service Representative to join our Lysaght Cairns team. This office‑based role (Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑4 pm) involves supporting customers, processing orders and providing administrative assistance in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer orders, prepare quotes and coordinate transport.
• Provide timely updates on product availability, pricing, order status and delivery.
• Maintain accurate customer records and system data.
• Handle phone and email enquiries and assist walk‑in customers.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve and, when needed, escalate issues.
• Support broader administrative tasks within the branch.

Required profile

• Experience in a customer‑focused environment such as retail, hospitality, healthcare or administration (building industry experience not required).
• Clear and confident written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, accurate data entry and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Comfortable learning new systems and platforms, including CRM tools.

Required skills

• Proficiency with data entry and basic computer applications.
• Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
