Cost Controller, Waste to Energy

About the role

The Cost Controller will lead cost control and financial performance for the Kwinana Waste‑to‑Energy Facility, providing clear cost visibility, accurate forecasting and high‑quality financial insight to support operational and commercial decision‑making. Working onsite, you will partner closely with operations, finance, commercial and project controls teams to ensure disciplined cost management.

Key responsibilities

• Own activity‑level cost reporting, variance analysis, detailed forecasts and substantiation of monthly cost and claim reporting.
• Support and maintain Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Delegated Authority frameworks.
• Track, control and forecast Operational & Maintenance costs against approved budgets, identifying cost drivers, trends and emerging risks.
• Assist with month‑end cost reporting, financial close and reconciliation processes.
• Support cash‑flow tracking, forecasting and financial reporting as required.
• Assist internal and external audits, assurance activities and internal financial reviews.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of cost control or project controls experience in construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial project environments.
