Consultant or Senior Consultant – Infrastructure Advisory (Strategy & Commercial)

About the role

Join Deloitte's Canberra‑based Strategy & Commercial team as a Consultant or Senior Consultant, working directly with government clients on high‑impact infrastructure and policy projects. You will develop independent reviews, options analyses, business cases and strategic advice that shape nation‑defining initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct commercial and financial analysis, design commercial frameworks and optimise procurement strategies.
• Support large‑scale government tender processes and contribute to Program Management Offices for major Defence infrastructure programmes.
• Analyse infrastructure network performance, design procurement processes and lead commercial negotiations.
• For senior consultants, lead workstreams, coach junior team members and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• A passion for public‑sector work with strong understanding of government policy and investment drivers.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, able to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, including financial and economic analysis.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., engineering, science, commerce, infrastructure, real estate) or equivalent experience.
• Australian Government Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
