Commercial Litigation & Insolvency Lawyer (2-3 PAE)

About the role

Our client, a boutique commercial law firm in Sydney CBD, is expanding its Litigation & Dispute Resolution team. The role offers immediate client contact and exposure to a mix of commercial litigation and corporate insolvency matters.

Key responsibilities

• Represent clients in the Supreme, District, Local and Federal Courts on matters such as Mareva injunctions, Anton Piller orders, shareholder and director disputes, and contractual or property disputes.
• Handle corporate insolvency work for administrators, liquidators, receivers and creditors, including DOCAs, restructuring proposals and voidable transaction claims.
• Draft pleadings, affidavits and particulars; brief counsel; manage expert instructions and attend hearings.
• Coordinate multiple deadlines and complex case files while maintaining high attention to detail.

Required profile

• 2–3 years post‑admission experience in commercial litigation (insolvency experience optional).
• Strong drafting ability and experience briefing counsel.
• Proven capacity to manage competing deadlines and complex matters.
• Confident communicator with a client‑focused approach.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
