Canola Sites Operations Lead

About the role

The Canola Sites Operations Lead is responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of BASF’s canola seed production sites across Australia. The role combines site governance, infrastructure management, environmental, health and safety (EHS) oversight and regulatory compliance to ensure audit readiness and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of multiple canola seed sites, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Manage site infrastructure and oversee capital‑expenditure (CAPEX) projects from planning to delivery.
• Maintain EHS standards, conduct audits and prepare sites for regulatory inspections.
• Coordinate with breeding, seed production and broader operations teams to drive operational excellence.
• Ensure site governance, documentation and reporting meet corporate and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in agricultural or industrial site operations.
• Strong understanding of EHS regulations and compliance processes.
• Experience managing CAPEX projects and infrastructure upgrades.
• Ability to work across multiple locations and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
