Automotive Service Technician – Melbourne (All Experience Levels, Visa Sponsorship)

About the role

Join Tesla’s fast‑growing Service Teams in Melbourne as an Automotive Service Technician. You will work on the most advanced electric vehicles in production, applying cutting‑edge diagnostic tools and hands‑on repair techniques while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced diagnostics and repairs across the full Tesla product line.
• Work both independently and collaboratively to maximise service efficiency.
• Provide feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement of procedures and products.
• Document repairs accurately and maintain service equipment.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new technicians when required.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Motor Mechanic or Registered Vehicle Technician (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a qualified mechanic or technician.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance methods, parts, and tools, including HVAC, hydraulic, brake, and electronic systems.
• Experience with diagnostic scan tools and electronic scopes.
• Experience with EV or hybrid vehicles is a plus.
