Audit Senior – Assurance & Advisory

About the role

RSM Australia is expanding its Brisbane Assurance & Advisory team and is looking for an Audit Senior to join on a permanent basis. You will work across a diverse portfolio of listed, private, public‑sector and not‑for‑profit clients, gaining exposure to industries such as government, education, manufacturing, resources, technology and health.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality audit work, preparing workpapers, documenting procedures and testing across complex areas using analytical tools.
• Review financial statements and disclosures to ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage audit engagements end‑to‑end, from planning through completion, and build strong client relationships.
• Coach and develop graduates and audit assistants, providing on‑the‑job guidance in line with RSM methodology.

Required profile

• 2+ years of external audit experience with a range of client types and industries.
• Experience acting as in‑charge on engagements, supervising junior team members.
• CA qualified or near qualified, with working knowledge of Australian (or International) Auditing Standards and the Corporations Act.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, client‑focused and motivated to add value.
