Associate Director, Business & Tax Advisory

About the role

KPMG is seeking an Associate Director to lead its Business and Tax Advisory practice. The role combines client ownership, strategic advisory, and people leadership to help a diverse portfolio of private, listed, and multinational clients navigate tax legislation and drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of tax and accounting solutions for privately owned businesses, family groups, SMEs, trusts, partnerships, and international structures.
• Act as a trusted advisor, managing high‑value engagements from planning through delivery and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Oversee complex compliance and advisory work, ensuring technical excellence and commercial value.
• Drive strategic advisory projects, including structuring, growth initiatives, and business transformation.
• Collaborate across KPMG to provide integrated, multidisciplinary solutions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the practice.
• Lead, coach, and inspire a high‑performance team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.
• Participate in resource planning, team development, and performance management.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience (Senior Manager or Associate Director) within a professional services firm.
• Strong client‑facing skills with a commercial mindset.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and communicate impactfully at all levels.
• Leadership presence with a track record of guiding teams and influencing outcomes.
• Passion for mentoring and developing talent.
