Assistant Manager – Property & Health Credit

About the role

The Assistant Manager will partner with the Senior Relationship Credit Manager to support a portfolio of Property & Health customers. This permanent, full‑time position is based at ANZ’s Perth office and focuses on credit analysis, compliance and portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a well‑managed portfolio that complies with ANZ policies, procedures and risk frameworks.
• Develop a detailed understanding of customers’ businesses, financial performance and industry dynamics.
• Conduct credit analysis, including financial modelling, cash‑flow analysis (ICR/DSCR) and risk assessment.
• Prepare credit submissions, annual reviews and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Identify and assess credit risk and contribute to structuring transactions within the bank’s risk appetite.
• Coordinate workflows across compliance, credit and customer fulfilment processes.
• Provide customer‑centric solutions, including facility structuring and account maintenance.
• Collaborate with product partners, risk and operations teams to deliver outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong ability to assess a customer’s ability to meet obligations through financial analysis and cash‑flow modelling.
• Experience in managing a credit portfolio in line with risk and return objectives.
• Understanding of customer needs and ability to deliver appropriate banking solutions.
• Good data‑analysis capability to interpret financial and non‑financial information.
• Solid knowledge of credit risk and compliance frameworks.
• Effective stakeholder and relationship management skills.
