About the role
We are looking for a Tax Consultant to join our close‑knit chartered accounting practice in suburban Salisbury. The role can be full‑time or part‑time, offering a balanced lifestyle away from the city hustle.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and lodge tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies and partnerships.
- Prepare financial statements and management accounts.
- Ensure all client work is completed on time and to a high standard.
- Liaise directly with clients and the Australian Taxation Office as required.
- Perform general bookkeeping, BAS and other compliance tasks.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of practical experience in a public accounting firm.
- Degree or Diploma in accounting or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax and accounting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or BGL360.
- Excellent attention to detail and time‑management skills.
- Client‑focused attitude with good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
