Senior Project Officer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Officer to join a high‑performing ICT Security team within a large Queensland government environment. The role will support multiple concurrent cyber security and technology initiatives, working closely with project managers, technical teams and senior stakeholders to ensure effective coordination, governance and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage RAID registers, project schedules and governance documentation.
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, steering committees and track actions.
• Prepare project dashboards, status reports and financial tracking reports.
• Support risk, issue, dependency and stakeholder management activities.
• Provide end‑to‑end project administration across ICT initiatives.
• Assist with reporting, documentation control and project delivery coordination.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience supporting ICT or digital transformation projects.
• Strong project coordination and reporting capability within structured PM environments.
• Experience with RAID management, governance reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in government or large enterprise settings, preferably with exposure to cyber security programmes.
