Senior Consultant – Operational Risk and Resilience

About the role

Join KPMG’s Operational Risk & Resilience team in Sydney as a Senior Consultant. You will work on high‑impact risk transformation, operational resilience assessments and regulatory advisory projects for ASX‑listed companies, financial institutions, government agencies and national brands.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality work on complex risk and resilience engagements.
• Apply structured methodologies to analyse risks and develop practical recommendations.
• Produce clear, client‑ready reports and insights.
• Engage senior stakeholders, facilitate workshops and build strong relationships.
• Coach and guide junior consultants on project work.
• Support proposal development and business development activities.
• Stay informed on emerging risk trends and regulatory developments.

Required profile

• Experience in financial services or public‑sector environments.
• Exposure to APRA or ASIC regulatory frameworks.
• Consulting or professional services background.
• Experience in operational risk, internal audit, controls advisory or enterprise risk.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn.
