School Security Assistant – Full‑time

About the role

The Security Assistant supports the administration of Albert Einstein High School in creating a safe and secure learning environment. Working under the supervision of the security team leader, you will help screen visitors, monitor student attendance, and conduct regular patrols across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Screen and control visitor access to school facilities.
• Maintain accurate student class attendance records.
• Perform regular indoor and outdoor security patrols, including in inclement weather.
• Respond to incidents, intervene in fights, and physically restrain individuals when necessary.
• Collaborate with the principal and security team leader to schedule flexible coverage, including weekends and occasional overtime.
• Wear designated security uniform and follow all school safety policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred).
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and overtime as assigned.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and intervene in confrontations for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and visitors.
• Preference for bilingual English/Spanish candidates.

Required skills

• Knowledge of school safety and security procedures.
• Familiarity with behavior‑management techniques.
• Understanding of investigative and attendance‑tracking processes.
