Part‑time IT Field Technician

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Information Technology Field Technician to join Geeks Perth’s on‑site support team. The role involves travelling across Perth to diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues for both residential and business clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site visits to troubleshoot and repair desktop computers and peripherals.
• Set up, configure and maintain client networks, including routers and switches.
• Provide printer installation, configuration and support.
• Conduct hardware and software diagnostics, virus removal and data recovery as needed.
• Document service actions and communicate resolutions to clients.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical support and field service.
• Hands‑on ability to repair desktop computers and printers.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Organised, able to manage time and multiple client appointments.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within Perth.
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent is a plus.
