DevOps Engineer – Azure & CI/CD Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a Federal Government department on a 24‑month contract (with possible extensions). The role focuses on building and maintaining automated deployment pipelines for integration solutions across a diverse enterprise landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to design, implement, and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories, and artefacts.
• Automate cloud‑first deployment processes and ensure platforms are secure, resilient and up‑to‑date.
• Integrate automated testing (including SAST/DAST) into pipelines to improve software quality.
• Investigate and resolve complex application issues in collaboration with other teams.
• Produce high‑quality technical and design documentation and meet project deadlines.
• Continuously improve CI/CD strategies and best‑practice implementations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud‑platform tooling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
