Tax Accountant – Advisory & Tax Practice

About the role

An established Adelaide accounting practice known for Business Advisory and Tax is seeking a qualified Tax Accountant. This position offers ownership of a diverse client portfolio and the chance to contribute to high‑quality tax and advisory outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review BAS, IAS and FBT lodgements with accuracy and compliance.
• Lead the preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns, including complex Division 7A, Capital Gains Tax and FBT matters.
• Provide proactive, strategic advice to help clients improve performance and plan for the future.
• Drive business advisory engagements and mentor junior team members on project work.
• Build and sustain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Australian public practice environment.
• CA or CPA qualified (or near completion).
• Experience with agribusiness or primary production clients is highly regarded.
• Strong technical knowledge with analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client‑facing situations.
