About the Position

Join the prestigious UNSW Canberra at the ADFA campus, a member of the Group of Eight, and contribute to one of only two undergraduate Naval Architecture programs in Australasia. We are seeking a dedicated academic professional to join the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) in a role that balances excellence in teaching, cutting-edge research, and academic service.

Main Missions

• Deliver high-quality teaching and curriculum design for undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs in Naval Architecture.
• Conduct impactful research within the field of Naval Architecture to advance the school's academic standing.
• Engage in academic service, contributing to the growth and administration of the School of Engineering and Technology.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and foster a stimulating research environment.
• Option to focus primarily on teaching or hold a split role between teaching and research.

Candidate Profile

• PhD in Naval Architecture or equivalent professional experience.
• Deep understanding of naval architecture principles and methodologies.
• Proven track record in designing and delivering academic courses at higher education levels.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and conduct impactful research projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to contributing to the academic community.
