About the role

Deakin University is seeking a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor to join its Faculty of Arts and Education. The role involves leading teaching teams, shaping curriculum, and driving high‑impact research and industry collaborations across its Melbourne and Geelong campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead unit and course teaching teams and collaborate on curriculum design.
• Embed industry, clinical and research practice into courses to enhance student outcomes.
• Develop innovative, learner‑centred curricula across multiple delivery modes.
• Secure research and creative activity funding, including external grants and commercialisation.
• Direct teaching teams to innovate assessment design and ensure consistent moderation.
• Lead national and international collaborations that advance teaching, research and creative activities.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent advanced qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Strong scholarly record in undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching.
• Nationally recognised research reputation with publications in quality journals.
• Demonstrated engagement with industry, community or government partners.
