About the role
We are seeking a Senior Documentation Technician who thrives on turning design concepts into precise, buildable documentation. You will work on commercial projects, translating design intent into high‑quality drawings while collaborating with internal teams and external consultants.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed documentation packages for commercial projects.
- Translate design intent into accurate, buildable drawings.
- Lead and contribute to documentation from design development through construction.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Manage building permit documentation and processes.
- Oversee service and consultant coordination.
- Assist in tender and construction documentation delivery.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency across all documents.
Required profile
- Australian resident or citizen.
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial architecture or drafting, with some residential exposure.
- Strong understanding of construction detailing and documentation processes.
- Proven ability to resolve developed designs into clear, accurate, buildable drawings.
- Experience leading or guiding a team and keeping projects on track.
- Skilled at coordinating with consultants and navigating project constraints.
- Proactive in identifying and resolving design or documentation issues.
- Detail‑oriented, patient, organised, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
