About the role
The Senior Developer will lead the development and modernisation of critical systems for the Enterprise Technology Group (ETG) at the Administrative Review Tribunal. This ongoing role focuses on delivering new capabilities, replacing legacy platforms and supporting business‑critical applications across multiple Australian locations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support, maintenance and development for business‑critical systems.
- Design and deliver new functionality while replacing major legacy applications.
- Contribute to the organisation’s strategy by modernising key business systems and realising measurable benefits.
- Collaborate with geographically dispersed ETG colleagues and other business areas.
- Lead integration work, assess risks and implement preventative actions.
- Manage and support deployment environments and software lifecycle practices.
Required profile
- Strong technical leadership with experience designing and delivering complex applications.
- Demonstrated responsibility for software development and adherence to design standards, quality, security and compliance.
- Experience specifying and designing large or complex software components.
- Ability to manage configuration activities and support deployment processes.
- Australian citizenship, eligibility for an Australian Federal Police check, health declaration and baseline security clearance.
- Desirable: degree or postgraduate qualifications in IT, technology or related fields; certifications such as Agile, Scrum, SAFe, ITIL, TOGAF, PRINCE2.

What we offer
- Annual EL1 salary range $121,755 – $143,202 (AUD) plus a 15.4% employer superannuation contribution.
