IT Systems & Support Engineer

About the role

Live Payments is seeking a technically strong, self‑directed IT Systems & Support Engineer to own the day‑to‑day IT function. Reporting to the IT Director, you will maintain system stability, drive security improvements and support distributed teams across Australia, the Philippines and Vietnam.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2–4 IT support to remote and offshore teams.
• Administer core platforms such as Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Slack and Freshservice.
• Manage endpoint devices (Windows, macOS, mobile) via Intune.
• Maintain network infrastructure, VPNs, BYO device policy and secure remote access.
• Implement and improve IT security controls including MFA, encryption, access controls and endpoint protection.
• Stay current with emerging AI‑powered IT tools and automate routine workflows.
• Oversee system upgrades, patches and backups to ensure reliability.
• Run the Freshservice ticketing system, handle escalations and ensure SLA compliance.
• Deliver onboarding, system training and maintain documentation, knowledge base and user guides.
• Define and refine IT support processes to increase efficiency.
• Support asset tracking, access reviews, audit preparation and contribute to PCI DSS / ISO 27001 compliance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on IT experience with strong systems administration and support background.
• Proven experience managing Microsoft 365, Active Directory and an MDM solution such as Intune.
• Solid knowledge of Windows, macOS, networking fundamentals, VPNs and cloud environments.
• Experience in a fast‑growing commercial or fintech organisation.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with distributed teams.
