Investment Banking Associate – Infrastructure

About the role

Jefferies is looking for a high‑performing Associate to join its Infrastructure Investment Banking & Advisory team in Sydney. The role focuses on transaction execution and analytical support while providing exposure to client interaction and origination activities across the ANZ market.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of infrastructure M&A and strategic advisory transactions.
• Build and maintain financial models and valuation analyses, including DCF, comparable company and precedent transaction analyses.
• Assist in due diligence coordination, data‑room management, and transaction documentation.
• Prepare client presentations, pitchbooks and marketing materials.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors such as legal, accounting and technical experts.
• Conduct industry and company research across infrastructure sectors and analyse market trends, regulatory developments and investor activity in ANZ.
• Assist senior bankers in identifying and evaluating potential opportunities and contribute to pitch preparation.
• Review and refine junior analysts’ work to ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in investment banking, infrastructure advisory or a related field.
• Strong experience supporting M&A or strategic advisory transactions.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure sectors and key market dynamics in ANZ (highly preferred).
