Cyber Security Engineer – Protect Enterprise Systems

About the role
As a Cyber Security Engineer at Magentus, you will safeguard our healthcare technology platform by enhancing security automation, monitoring, and response capabilities. You will work closely with the IT Security Team to protect complex enterprise environments and support our mission of delivering smarter, more efficient care.
Key responsibilities
- Improve and automate cyber security processes across the organization.
- Monitor networks and endpoints to detect and prevent threats.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify malicious activity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on risk management and advanced threat mitigation.
- Support deployment of new security tools and technologies.
- Participate in risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and threat emulation.
- Perform daily operational checks, triage alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate APAC‑hour responses.
- Respond to security incidents, ensuring timely remediation or escalation.
- Maintain endpoint detection, email security, zero‑trust access, threat intelligence, and exposure management platforms.
- Assist with security administration tasks such as tuning, exclusions, quarantines, and reporting.
- Represent security in customer meetings and answer security questionnaires.
- Support phishing simulations, training, and security education initiatives.
Required profile
- 3+ years of experience in information security and 2–3 years in software development.
- Hands‑on experience with SIEM, endpoint detection, threat hunting, and sandboxing.
- Knowledge of forensics, reverse engineering, vulnerability assessment, and firewalls.
- Relevant certifications such as SANS, CISSP, OSCP, or eLearn.
- Experience working in a SOC or security operations environment.
