Underground Maintenance Electrician

About the role

Join a long‑standing underground coal mine operating until 2044 as an Electrician focused on maintenance and fault‑finding. You will work on a mid‑week back‑shift roster, either locally or on a DIDO (fly‑in‑fly‑out) basis, supporting critical underground equipment and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on underground mining machinery and electrical systems.
• Maintain plant availability through regular inspections, fault diagnosis and remedial actions.
• Accurately record defects, maintenance actions and production data in logs.
• Execute planned and routine maintenance in line with schedules and statutory requirements.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement projects to boost equipment reliability.

Required profile

• Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification.
• Experience in an underground coal mine or strong background as an industrial electrician (e.g., fixed plant, processing plants, heavy industry).
• Familiarity with mining or heavy‑industrial equipment is highly regarded.
• Willingness to work rotating day, afternoon and night shifts.
• Ability to meet clean‑shaven requirements for underground respiratory safety standards.
