Technology Risk Director

About the role

The Technology Risk Director joins ANZ’s Chief Information Risk Office to provide senior Line 2 risk expertise across the enterprise technology resilience portfolio. You will shape how material technology resilience risks are identified, challenged and communicated to the Board, Executive Committee and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent Line 2 expertise on material technology resilience risks, controls, remediation and risk acceptance, translating them into clear priorities and escalation paths.
• Act as trusted advisor on complex technology resilience matters, delivering constructive challenge to strategic and in‑year decisions.
• Refresh annual risk themes and oversight priorities based on horizon scanning, scenario analysis and critical service needs.
• Lead the integrated portfolio plan, governing cadence, prioritisation, sequencing and deployment of specialist capability.
• Maintain forward‑looking view of emerging systemic technology resilience risks and their impact on risk appetite and regulatory obligations.

Required profile

• Extensive senior Line 2 Technology Risk, Operational Resilience or Compliance experience in a complex, APRA‑regulated environment.
• Deep knowledge of technology resilience, operational resilience and related prudential standards (e.g., CPS 230).
• Proven ability to form, articulate and defend independent views on control effectiveness, remediation credibility and residual risk.
• Strong governance writing and communication skills for executive‑level briefings and board papers.
