Tax Analyst – Global Employer Services

About the role

RSM Australia is seeking a Tax Analyst to support employers with Australian employment tax and entitlement obligations. You will work within a national team of specialists, receiving extensive training in tax technology and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employer Superannuation Guarantee (SG) obligations and conduct SGC compliance reviews.
• Prepare and submit filings to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
• Assist clients with broader wage‑compliance matters, including State Payroll Tax investigations and monthly reporting.
• Handle Pay‑As‑You‑Go (PAYG) withholding obligations and advise on Australian tax requirements for new entrants.
• Review and prepare Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns and draft FBT advice.
• Develop analytical models and design bespoke technology solutions for clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional services firm within a similar tax discipline.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and effective communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for learning innovative, technology‑driven solutions.
• Data visualisation, cleaning and manipulation skills are advantageous.
