About the role
The Staff Software Engineer will join ANZ's Internal Developer Platforms team, shaping the future developer platform that powers engineering across the bank. You will define the architecture, tooling and foundations that enable safe, efficient and scalable software delivery for multiple domains.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and articulate technical direction for major platform initiatives.
- Design and ensure implementation of scalable, compliant services that meet business requirements.
- Identify and document technical risks in designs and implementations.
- Define, promote and uphold engineering standards and best practices.
- Ensure cohesive technical approaches across team boundaries and partner teams.
Required profile
- Extensive experience driving engineering best practices and complex solution design for high‑scale, reliable and compliant applications.
- Strong technical leadership with the ability to guide architecture, assess risks and align teams.
- Proven mentoring and coaching abilities to raise engineering standards.
