Software Engineer – Digital Banking

About the role

As an Engineer you will design, build, deploy and support customer‑facing features within ANZ's digital banking ecosystem. You will own solutions from concept through to production, ensuring exceptional experiences for millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate customer requirements into scalable software solutions.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, operate and support software across the full development lifecycle.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of features and services, including production support and incident management.
• Contribute to automation initiatives that improve reliability, efficiency and system performance.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver customer value.

Required profile

• Experience developing software using Go, Java, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL or Cassandra.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills focused on service reliability.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.
