Small Business Specialist

About the role

The Small Business Specialist works within ANZ's Business & Private Bank, based in Queensland branch locations. You will partner with branch teams and customers to help small businesses start, run and grow by providing tailored banking solutions, industry insights and trusted advice.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct phone‑based lending enquiries to understand customer needs and identify suitable products.
• Collaborate with Branch Managers, Bankers and local B&PB teams to develop business opportunities.
• Build and deepen relationships with small‑business customers, delivering value‑added advice and solutions.
• Ensure all interactions comply with risk and regulatory standards while focusing on positive customer outcomes.
• Drive commercial growth through proactive business development and referral partnerships.
• Represent ANZ in the local community, fostering trust and brand presence.

Required profile

• Experience in small‑business or commercial banking, preferably within a branch environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, results‑driven setting.
• Sound judgment in risk management and compliance matters.
• Team player who can collaborate across multiple internal stakeholders.
