Site Supervisor

About the role

Our client, a leading commercial builder in Western Australia, is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee on‑site activities for large‑scale mixed‑use, residential and retail projects. Based in the Perth metropolitan area, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage daily operations and work closely with the Project Manager to deliver projects safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations from establishment through to practical completion on commercial construction projects.
• Coordinate and lead subcontractors and site teams to achieve project milestones, budgets and quality standards.
• Prepare detailed work schedules and monitor progress against the construction programme.
• Conduct daily pre‑start meetings, toolbox talks and weekly coordination meetings.
• Ensure works comply with project drawings, engineer designs, manufacturer specifications, the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.
• Review designs and construction details, identify issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Liaise with project managers, consultants, designers and structural engineers to resolve site challenges.
• Verify that construction materials meet engineering design, standards and specifications.
• Manage quality assurance and control processes, including preparation and administration of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Enforce workplace health and safety standards, PPE requirements and safe site practices.
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to proactively resolve issues affecting programme or quality.
• Perform site inspections, defect management and progress reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing and the National Construction Code.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Strong focus on safety and quality management.
• Current White Card and relevant trade or construction qualification.
