Site Manager - High-Voltage Utility Projects

About the role

Quanta Services Australia's Asset Management Services (AMS) team, which maintains and upgrades high-voltage assets, is looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead delivery of critical utility asset replacement projects across South Australia. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will own site delivery from mobilisation to completion, coordinating personnel, contractors, documentation, safety, quality and stakeholder engagement. Initial projects focus on asset replacement works in the south-east of South Australia, with a 50/50 split between office work in Adelaide and site visits.

Key responsibilities

• Lead crews of CPP employees and contractors during outages and oversee site safety and compliance
• Coordinate outages and work sequencing
• Manage documentation and reporting requirements
• Maintain strong relationships with client representatives and project stakeholders
• Take ownership of site delivery from mobilisation through to completion

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor or senior field leader in HV electrical or utility infrastructure environments
• Strong leadership experience managing site personnel, subcontractors and multiple stakeholders
• Electrical trade qualifications and a current Australian driver's licence
• Highly regarded: experience on high-voltage substations or asset replacement projects, exposure to utility environments and transmission network operators, and experience managing mixed workforces of employees and subcontractors
• Certificate IV in Safety, Civil Construction or related qualifications

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of construction sequencing, outage planning and site delivery
• Proven ability to manage safety, quality, site documentation, inductions, permits and compliance
• Excellent organisational skills and proactive problem solving
