Service Technician – Workshop (Forklift & Industrial Equipment)

About the role

Toyota Material Handling Australia is looking for a Service Technician to join its Dandenong workshop. The successful candidate will handle pre‑delivery preparation of new, used and hire forklifts, fit attachments and perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks on Toyota Forklifts and other industrial equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑delivery inspections, fitting of attachments and accessories on new, used and hire units.
• Perform mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on customer forklifts and related equipment.
• Provide professional customer service to TMHA clients and support the Field Service team on‑site when required.
• Maintain accurate service records and adhere to safety and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualification such as Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician, Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Plant or Diesel Mechanic.
• Previous experience in the forklift industry or a related field is desirable.
• Strong diagnostic and repair abilities, good mechanical aptitude and self‑motivation.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and communicate clearly.
