Senior Web Designer

About the role

Brandflow is seeking a Senior Web Designer for its Brisbane office, with the possibility of hybrid or flexible arrangements. The role leads the design and development of websites, applications and digital experiences, taking ownership from concept to launch while keeping work aligned with client brand guidelines. It reports to the Lead Web Designer.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the design system end to end, including componentisation, documentation and development.
• Plan and run regular audits and improvements of existing digital experiences using the component library.
• Collaborate with developers, QA and the Design/Experience Lead to design new interfaces that fit the Design System.
• Follow UX/UI best practices such as Apple HIG, Google Material Design and WCAG.
• Create concept wireframes and detailed designs, and review experience performance to find optimisation opportunities.
• Own the product design process for assigned deliverables, including timelines and schedules.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of UX/UI design experience, preferably on large-scale projects.
• Demonstrable portfolio of UX/UI work, including UI component design.
• Experience building component libraries and maintaining a design system for web and mobile apps.
• Understanding of design methodologies, Apple HIG and Google Design guidelines.
• Ability to manage timelines and schedules and to work with other designers on shared component work.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of web design and UI/UX tools.
• Figma for design and component libraries.
• Wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma, Axure, ProtoPie or similar.
