Senior Software Engineer – TS/SCI with Polygraph

About the role

GDIT is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support a customer in Alice Springs, Australia. The position requires a high‑level security clearance and offers the chance to work on complex software systems that directly impact mission‑critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, evaluate, plan, and test engineering specifications for software applications.
• Troubleshoot and analyze complex software programs for computer‑based systems.
• Create detailed documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, and clear code comments.
• Prepare and install solutions by defining system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis, including basic compiler and operating‑system utilities.
• Collaborate with users to gather requirements, study data flows, and follow the software development lifecycle.
• Provide mentorship to less‑experienced team members and may lead task teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and U.S. citizenship.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT certification; CompTIA Security+ CE preferred.
