Senior School Coordinator

About the role

The Deception Bay Flexible School is looking for a Senior School Coordinator, a full-time continuing position starting 19 January 2027. It is a leadership role with a 4+4 year fixed-term contract and a Tier 3 Leadership Allowance of $19,535 per annum, in addition to a substantive teacher role. Middle Leaders support the Head of Campus in the leadership and management of the Flexible School, guided by the EREA Charter's four touchstones: Gospel Spirituality, Inclusive Community, Liberating Education and Justice and Solidarity.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education (Primary or Secondary).
• Current registration with the state or territory's teaching authority.
• Demonstrated teaching experience, normally at least three years, with evidence of relevant leadership capability.
• Current First Aid certificate or ability to obtain one, and a current driver's licence.
• Working With Children Check (must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain it).

Required skills

• High-level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, able to build constructive relationships with young people, community and staff.
• Ability to work positively with vulnerable and/or at-risk young people.
• Desirable: proven strategic and operational leadership, team leadership through collaboration, coaching and mentoring, and trauma-informed practice.
• Desirable: experience in curriculum, pastoral care or program leadership in a Flexible School setting, and mentoring staff.
