Senior Project Accountant – Data Centre Construction

About the role

CDC Data Centres is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to manage the financial lifecycle of high‑value data centre construction projects across Australia and New Zealand. The role will be based in Sydney and will work closely with Development and Finance teams to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Attend monthly Project Control Group meetings to resolve commercial and accounting issues.
• Provide detailed cost analysis and support Capex decision‑making for multiple projects.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, variance analyses and project accounting reports for senior stakeholders and the Board.
• Act as the primary contact with suppliers, handling invoice and financing queries.
• Analyse complex cost scenarios and deliver concise financial commentary.
• Support the Development team with ad‑hoc queries and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project accounting or construction finance.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
