Senior Manager, Financial Crime Compliance (Governance & Change)

About the role

ING is seeking an experienced Financial Crime Compliance professional to shape and strengthen its financial crime compliance framework. Reporting to the Head of Financial Crime Compliance and MLRO, the role leads governance, regulatory change, risk and control activities and drives a strong compliance culture. It is a highly visible position with exposure to senior leadership, board committees and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and ongoing enhancement of the Financial Crime Compliance framework and AML/CTF program
• Manage financial crime governance, risk and control activities, including enterprise-wide risk assessments and control assurance reviews
• Drive AML transformation programs, regulatory change initiatives and compliance uplift projects
• Provide expert advice on AML/CTF, sanctions and broader financial crime compliance obligations
• Prepare reporting and insights for executive committees, Board forums and Head Office stakeholders
• Manage regulator relationships and support responses to regulatory requests and reviews
• Lead and develop a high-performing team and foster a strong risk and compliance culture

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance, AML/CTF, sanctions or broader compliance functions
• Experience leading governance, controls, risk assessment or regulatory change programs
• Proven people leadership and team development experience
• Experience across banking and financial services, including complex, highly regulated organisations

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Australian AML/CTF regulations and financial crime risk management frameworks
• Strong stakeholder management with senior executives, Board-level audiences and regulators
• Relevant compliance qualifications such as ACAMS, Wolfsberg or equivalent accreditation
