Senior Internal Auditor - Sydney Metro

About the role

Sydney Metro, part of Transport for NSW, is recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor to deliver audits and reviews that give assurance to the Sydney Metro Audit and Risk Committee. The role sits in a complex, multi-contract stakeholder environment and requires finance and accounting skills to support strong governance and informed decision-making. It is based in Sydney with hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver audits and reviews that provide assurance to the Sydney Metro Audit and Risk Committee.
• Undertake end-to-end audit engagements, from planning and execution through to reporting, and oversee corrective actions.
• Provide evidence-based risk and control insights to support strong governance and informed decision-making.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in business, accounting or equivalent, supported by demonstrated professional experience.
• Recognised as an ethical and collaborative auditor, skilled at analysing evidence, assessing risk and recommending practical solutions.
• Experience developing and implementing internal audit scopes and programs within large, complex organisations to strengthen controls and compliance.
