Senior Graphic Designer

About the role

The Department of Justice is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to lead the creation and maintenance of its visual identity. You will produce high‑quality design assets that support internal communications and external engagement, ensuring consistency with the department’s style guide and government standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver corporate publications, digital content, signage, and print‑ready artwork.
• Create creative concepts, layouts, and visual materials for both internal and public audiences.
• Maintain brand consistency across all channels in line with the Style Guide and government requirements.
• Collaborate with photographers, production houses, printers and other stakeholders to manage the production process.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency (required for public sector appointments).
• Proven senior‑level experience in graphic design within a government or large‑organisation setting.
• Strong organisational and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
