Senior Engineer - Secondary (High Voltage Utilities and Renewables)

About the role

CPP, a Quanta Services company, is a high-voltage infrastructure provider connecting renewable energy projects to Australia's electricity grid. It is recruiting a Senior Engineer - Secondary for its Victorian engineering hub, reporting to the Engineering Manager - VIC. You will work with the growing secondary engineering team in Victoria and the national engineering team on high-voltage substation projects across Australia's renewable energy and utility sectors.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or an equivalent discipline
• Significant experience designing secondary systems for high-voltage transmission substations
• Demonstrated experience producing, reviewing and checking detailed secondary system design outputs
• End-to-end experience delivering substation projects, from concept development through to detailed design
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, field teams, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders

Required skills

• Detailed knowledge of power system philosophies, industry requirements and client specifications
• Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
