Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

AirTrunk is seeking a Senior Design Engineer (Electrical) to lead the electrical engineering effort for its hyperscale data centre reference designs across APAC. Reporting to the Associate Principal of Product Management, you will work closely with Customer, Solutions, Design and Innovation teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality electrical standards and drive innovation in data centre infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering expertise for the development and evolution of AirTrunk’s data centre reference design products.
• Conduct feasibility analyses and technical reviews of new electrical technologies for integration into reference designs.
• Manage and update technical documentation, ensuring alignment with product requirements and OSE specifications.
• Collaborate with equipment suppliers, customers and internal teams to integrate electrical systems into projects.
• Assess commercial implications of engineering decisions and support value‑engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with at least 8 years of industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in data centre or mission‑critical environments, leading or supporting major projects.
• Proven ability to work with multi‑disciplinary building services design and to influence internal and external teams.
• Strong decision‑making, communication and leadership skills.
