Senior Business Analyst – Technology Solutions

About the role

Leidos Australia is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to shape and deliver technology solutions that address complex business challenges. You will work across cross‑functional teams, translating business needs into practical, scalable software outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders, product owners, architects and developers to elicit, analyse and document complex business and system requirements.
• Lead discovery, process mapping, impact assessments and solution design for enterprise software, integrations and digital transformation initiatives.
• Translate needs into user stories, functional and non‑functional requirements, process models and acceptance criteria for Agile delivery teams.
• Drive stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle, supporting prioritisation, validation, testing and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Significant experience delivering software development, application delivery or digital transformation projects.
• Proven ability to work with Agile methodologies, including backlog refinement and sprint‑based delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Australian citizenship with NV‑1 security clearance (willing to uplift to NV‑2).

Required skills

• Business process modelling and workshop facilitation.
• Requirements elicitation, user story development and acceptance criteria definition.
• Knowledge of system integration concepts, APIs, data flows and enterprise application environments.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based platforms, modern software architectures and digital product delivery practices.
