Senior Auditor – Brisbane

About the role

As a Senior Auditor you will join a high‑performing team serving a diverse client base that includes ASX‑listed companies across mining, technology, financial services, property, education, health and not‑for‑profit sectors. Based in the Brisbane CBD office, you will work closely with partners, directors and managers on challenging audit engagements while travelling to client sites as required.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to resolve audit and accounting queries.
• Gather and document audit evidence for material balances and transactions.
• Draft annual financial reports and audit plans.
• Execute statutory audits in accordance with general‑purpose financial reporting standards.
• Assist senior staff on ad‑hoc assignments and review junior audit work papers.
• Participate in other assurance engagements as they arise.

Required profile

• Commerce or Business degree majoring in Accounting.
• CA or CPA qualification completed.
• Minimum 3 years of external audit experience, preferably in a mid‑tier or top‑tier firm.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/AASB, ASA and relevant legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong client‑service skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
