Senior Audit Lead – Technology & Information Security

About the role

The Senior Audit Lead – Technology & Information Security is part of ANZ’s Technology & Information Security Centre of Audit. Reporting to the Audit Director, you will lead high‑risk technology and cyber‑security audits, providing independent assurance across the Group’s digital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex, high‑risk technology and information security audit engagements aligned to the internal audit plan.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of controls across cyber security, cloud, data, automation, operational resilience and technology governance.
• Apply expert risk judgement and audit methodology, leveraging data analytics, automation and relevant security frameworks.
• Manage audit delivery against timelines and budgets, ensuring issue follow‑up and escalation of delivery risks.
• Build trusted relationships with senior technology and business stakeholders, providing independent challenge and insightful risk perspectives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in technology audit, technology risk, information security or assurance within large, complex organisations.
• Proven ability to lead concurrent audits of medium to high complexity across cyber security, cloud, infrastructure, data or digital transformation.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills with senior technology and business leaders.
• Experience in regulated industries such as banking or financial services is highly regarded.
