About the role

BDC Investments is seeking a Senior Area Manager to oversee its fast‑growing QSR franchise network across Victoria and South Australia. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, sales growth and profitability across more than 20 franchised locations.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and support 20+ franchised QSR sites, ensuring alignment with brand standards and values.
  • Drive sales, profitability and KPI achievement across the territory.
  • Develop high‑performing Store Managers and Franchisees, holding them accountable to excellence.
  • Turn around under‑performing stores using data‑driven action plans.
  • Recruit, train and retain leadership talent within the network.
  • Maintain oversight of P&L performance, cost control and commercial outcomes.
  • Conduct regular store visits, operational audits and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, WH&S, labour laws, licensing and brand standards.
  • Support new store openings from setup through launch.
  • Champion a values‑led, inclusive culture and identify future leaders through succession planning.

Required profile

  • 5+ years experience as an Area Manager or similar multi‑site leadership role within the QSR sector.
  • Proven track record opening new stores and improving under‑performing sites.
  • Strong commercial acumen with confidence managing P&L and driving profitability.
  • Solid knowledge of food safety, WH&S, labour compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all organisational levels.
  • Adaptable leadership style, detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for regional travel.
