Security SOC Analyst – Remote (AU West)

About the role

As a Security SOC Analyst you will join Employment Hero’s security team to protect a community of over 2 million users. Working remotely with a focus on the Australia‑West region, you will provide 24/7 coverage and help ensure the platform scales safely to 10 million users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide “follow‑the‑sun” SOC coverage by coordinating between AU and CA teams.
• Monitor SIEM alerts, triage incidents and respond in real time.
• Resolve internal security tickets and troubleshoot tools such as Netskope, Crowdstrike and Abnormal Security.
• Collaborate with the AI Analyst to improve automated triage accuracy.
• Configure identity and access solutions in Google Workspace, Intune, Jamf and Kandji.
• Monitor dark‑web mentions, compromised credentials and conduct threat‑intelligence research.
• Run regular vulnerability scans and deliver remediation guidance.

Required profile

• Self‑starter who takes initiative and can work independently.
• Passion for security – personal labs, CTFs, Hack The Box or AI projects.
• 2–3 years of experience in a SOC, NOC or technical help‑desk environment.
• Ambitious mindset with a drive for excellence.
• Reliable and accountable in a fully remote setting.
