Second In Charge – Part‑Time

About the role

As the Second In Charge at BFS Thirroul OOSH you will support the Director in delivering a safe, engaging out‑of‑school hours care environment for school‑aged children. The role combines leadership, program planning and strong relationship building with families and the community. You will help ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework and child protection legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality education and care to all children attending the OOSH.
• Contribute to planning and implementing educational programs that support each child’s learning goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families and the wider community.

Required profile

• Diploma of Children’s Services or a related qualification (desirable).
• Experience as a support worker, SLSO, OOSH educator or similar role working with school‑aged children.
• Commitment to ensuring the safety and health of children in care.
• Dedication to improving the lives of children, families and the community.
• A fun‑loving attitude and a big smile.
