Scheduler / Dispatcher - Plumbing

About the role

Howard Plumbing, a Sydney plumbing business with over 55 years of experience in strata, commercial, real estate and residential work, is looking for an experienced Scheduler to keep its team of plumbers moving. The role is based five days a week in the Banksmeadow office, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, and is open to applicants with Australian permanent work rights.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch jobs across the team in SimPRO, with routes suited to a patch crossing the harbour
• Book access with owners, tenants and property managers and keep strata managers and homeowners updated
• Fit in urgent and emergency work without disrupting the rest of the day
• Handle calls and emails promptly and professionally
• Work closely with plumbers to reduce travel time and keep the day productive
• Prepare and submit client reports, service records and other supporting documentation
• Assist with invoicing, purchasing orders and cost tracking

Required profile

• Scheduling or dispatch experience in a busy trade or service business (plumbing experience highly regarded)
• Basic plumbing knowledge and terminology, and familiarity with strata and real estate processes such as work orders, tenant access and approvals
• A clear, friendly phone manner with owners, tenants and agents
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and a calm approach when urgent jobs pile up

Required skills

• Solid hands-on SimPRO experience
• Dispatch and scheduling in a trade or service business
