Safety and Training Coordinator

About the role

Join Bluestone Mines Tasmania as a Safety and Training Coordinator, supporting the Underground Mining Department within a dynamic Health, Safety, Environment & People team. You will coordinate training functions, maintain safety management systems, and work on an 8‑days‑on, 6‑days‑off roster.

Key responsibilities

• Promote Bluestone’s values by demonstrating safety, integrity, teamwork and operational excellence.
• Facilitate and support incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Conduct safety assurance activities such as audits, safety interactions and inspections.
• Support emergency preparedness and injury management processes.
• Develop, deliver and record training material, managing training records and schedules.

Required profile

• Strong focus on safety with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with a diverse workforce.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher).
• Relevant experience in a mining environment.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with the INX system is advantageous.
